Nvidia Ti4800 Driver problem

Alright, I get this out of the box, plug and pray and all seems to be alright.. then I go to load the drivers.. the CD provided drivers that didn't work or well weren't able to install the hardware fully.. so I go to the support site and download the detanator(sp) which is suppose to cover the most recent Ge-force + cards. that didn't work, though it did say it installed them and then asked me to restart the computer.. though once the computer started again it found new hardware.. anyhow. anyone else have any problems with Nvidia's drivers or anyone able to help me out with getting XP drivers for Ge-force 4 Ti4800 drivers?

I'd go to ADD/ Remove Programs and remove any NVidia Installed programs and then use REGCleaner to clean the Registry of all NVidia Entries and then reboot and reinstall the Latest Detonator Drivers. Get Regcleaner Anyway since it's a good tool to remove unwanted registry entries.

nvidia drivers that should work with all geforce 4 cards

I also always change my computer to standard vga drivers reboot once then shutdown and pull out the old card and install the new card then boot up and install the new drivers.

so far it seems to work for me.
