USB 6 in 1 Reader/Writer question

the r/w device (usb 2.0 w/ 1.1 support) worked flawlessly in Win XP (the PC's usb interface is 2.0)... but I can't get it work in Win 2000 (the USB interface on the machine is 1.1). I used the driver cd that comes with the r/w (I don't need to install it on the Win XP PC). However, the Win 2000 pc just won't take the drivers! Any help is appreciated!

You may need to load the chip-level drivers that came with the computer (or motherboard) so that the device drivers can talk to the hardware.

Find the CD that came with the computer/motherboard and load the drivers.

Go to the manufacturer's site and look for it. An alternative would be going to the chipset manufacturer's site, such as VIA, SIS, Intel, etc.
