I notice that there is a setting on Nero burning software that allows you to burn a disc with track-at-once or disk-at-once. What are the advantages of both those types and when would you use them?

I'm too lazy to write anything myself.

DAO is great if you're burning live concerts where there's no real breaks in the sound (there's usually crowd noise between tracks).

Usually in Nero, I teke the silence out by selecting all the tracks and changing the amount of silence at the beginning from 2 seconds to 0.

Thanks. So it looks like disc-at-once is used for burning music CD's. Does it matter what I use to burn data discs (HD backups)?
