A quick help on CD/CDRW/CDR

Okay, I need to know how fast my CD-R can write?

All I have is "48x/24x/48x," I don't know which is CD write speed.

Thanks.

48x = CD-R (writing)
24x = CD-Rw (writing)
48x = reading
