2.5" vs 3.5" Firewire HDD Enclosure

What's the difference between one that says 2.5" and one that says 3.5"? Is it the size of the hard drive? I thought all HDDs were 3.5" now. Here's the site I'm looking at:

2.5" drives are laptop drives. 3.5" are what you find in desktops.
