Any easy way to sign up for tons of spam at once?

Preferably without confirmations, etc. I'm going to start trying out different spam/content filtering apps for my server and I need to get some junk e-mail addresses to get tons of different types of spam at once.

Anyone have an idea?

go to a couple porn and newsletter sites and enter you e-mail address, that should do it.

If you're genuinely interested in stopping spam, filters are woefully inadequate. You want a request/verification system like ChoiceMail.

What kind of anti-virus software do you use for email? I posted an identical message to this forum a few months back. We ended up purchasing Trend Micro Emanager. To use it you need to also purchase their Scanmail anti-virus product.

It's pretty good. Not 100% perfect, but it blocks a lot of spam. The best is brightmail, but it's unaffordable. Clearswift is also supposed to be pretty good.

Personally I think it's all a waste of money, except for content management which is a CYA out of lawsuits. It's very easy to delete spam. And it won't save any bandwidth since it is blocked at the email server.

back in the day.. i remember there being a listserv signup that I think was located on the TAMU servers that would allow you to sign up for like 500 discussion groups just by putting a check mark in the box.. and it had a select all option..
these discussion groups would each generate anywhere from a couple to a hundred emails per day.. alot of which were just people trying to figure out how to unsubscribe.. you had to unsubscribe to each one seperately and it basically took and act of congress to get your name of the list.. and the discussion groups were anything from sports, polka dancing, cooking, etc...

those use to be fun.. of course, that was back in the only dialup day, and not as many options for on server spam blocks.. so everything had to be downloaded to your computer before it was filter
