Capturing frames with PowerDVD - problem

Ok, I encoded my Avi to MPEG and use Powerdvd to capture frames. 1st problem I encounter is the button for capturing does not highlight/able to push C to capture. So I hit print screen and will just grab the image that way.

Wrong. I open up Photoshop and try to drop it in via that way. Still no go. It keeps the frame where it is on PowerDVD meaning I can't crop or do anything to it. I save it, close powerdvd, all I get is a blown up section of it. WTF.

Close everything down, start over. Print screen again with Powerdvd, close it out, open up PS, paste, black screen!

Bah!

Help

You have to disable hardware acceleration in order to take screen captures.
