how to stop IE windows from stealing focus

I hope that's the right term
I hate it when website finishes and IE makes that the active window. I'm on dial up so I usually have multiple IE windows open so I can read one while another page loads and I hate having a different window become the front one.
Hotmail does this a lot for an example of what I mean.
Can that be stopped?

Thats the right term. It is quite annoying when it does that. Hopefully someone knows.

This is one of the main reasons why I switched to Mozilla as my main browser a few months ago. Tabbed browsing is tremendously convenient for anyone who regularly surfs multiple sites simultaneously.

It takes a little bit of time getting used to the interface before you can really appreciate the full glory of tabbed browsing, but once you do there's no going back.

I don't have that problem in win2k. I believe win2k makes it hard for windows to steal focus.

The only time I've noticed that happening is when the window that's minimized has cursor field in it (i.e. e-mail log in).

It is annoying as hell, especially if I'm in the middle of typing something on the other window.
