Recommend me a new monitor! (please)

I'm looking for a new monitor, preferrably 19 inches. Doesn't necessarily have to be a flat screen. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Well, I recommend anything from Viewsonic. I don't know what they have in the 19" range, but I'm currently using several of their 21" line and they're fantastic.

I've got a Sony 420 and love it, but it was a little pricey.
Samsung has been getting the best bang for buck rep it seems, but Viewsonic also makes very good monitors.

I've got the Viewsonic P90F, and it works terrific. Sony are a good choice too.

500-1000. Flat panel or not, doesn't really matter. Just looking for a quality monitor.

$500-1000? Wow... in that case I'd go for a Sony 21" FD Trinitron. Definitely worth it. I use a 19" version here at work and it is NICE. Very easy on the eyes.
