Help with laptop/notebook purchase PLEASE!

I have been looking to purchase a VPR Matrix notebook. Does anyone know anything about them? How good they are, if they last, and what they are like compared to other more popular notebooks like dell, compaq, etc. I heard some notebooks overheat when left on over a certain amount of time is this true with this one also? Please any info you have good or bad would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I read the review on this laptop in the maximum pc magezine. They say it is sweet. It got an 8 out of 10 in there magezine. If you ask me the notebook is sexy as hell. It has a decent audio card.If your looking for better speed though i would recommend getting a compaq with the same gear because it will go faster. If you are using it for gaming it has the crapiest motherboard chipset on earth. It also has a cheap frame buffer. But the screen has a good ratio for movie watching. So it depends what are you going to use it for. I would recommend getting a compaq or dell with the same gear because it is faster.
