Looking for a good shareware/freeware cad program to try.

My parents just recently bought a building that they plan to renevate for their new office. They would like me to help give them some ideas for the building, and I was trying to find a program to play with and try to design a new layout. Does anyone know of any good ones to try out?

The only one I can think of is gMax. It's made by the same people who make 3D Studio Max. gMax is a free version made for game addons. It's more 3D CAD, though, not really what you're looking for, I odn't think...
