Best place to buy domain name?

I might want to register Alvis.com(this one is already used, actually), what it the best company/site to do this through? One I have been told about is Registerfly.com.

http://www.godaddy.com

Best service. Best prices. $8.95 for 1 year, or as low as $6.95 if you do longer term.

Also a GoDaddy user. I was told to expect a bad interface or something, but transfering my domain was completely painless.

And speaking of domain names, does anybody know of a free service where you can use any e-mail address on your domain and that will redirect it to a real e-mail address of your choice? I heard some hosting companies offer that in their packages, but I swore there was a free version too. Thanks.
