USB -> Firewire?

I was looking around for a USB to Firewire adapter, looks like one doesn't exist. My dilema is that I want to use my IPod at work, but I can't just go and pop a firewire card into the computer here. I suppose I just just run a line in from the Ipod, but I was hoping for a better solution, anyone have any ideas?

I don't think you're going to find a USB->Firewire adapter. I've never heard of it, and most people who buy firewire devices are doing video editing or such, and have the cards in the machines they use.

Oh, and cranky, the iPod has an internal HD - no removable media.

Yeah, just a small hard drive on the iPOD.

I doubt there is any such device. They are completely different ways of transferring data.

They do not exist as USB is WAY too slow for the transfers needed.
