I need a motherboard with on board sound, video, NIC. For AMD Duron 1 GHz (socket A). As cheap as possible.

This is for office use. Sound quality is not important; just enough to listen to CD on headphonel; for video quality, just good enough to show 1024x768.

Possible for around $60?

But that has no video card.

If I were to buy that, then I'd need a cheap (~$10) video card. Where can I get one of those? All I need is like 4MB of video RAM ... just to display text.

I'm buiding 2 computers for elementary office use.

Whoops, missed the video part.

Pricewatch has a 8MB RIVA AGP card for $13.99 shipped.

I don't know about those other boards, but mine has been rock solid.

I would get an nForce board. They start at about $70. I realize video card performance isn't crucial to you, but spending $10 to get GeForce 2 MX speed sounds like a smart move for the long run.

well, there is no need for a good video card. the most video intensive thing that the computers will be doing is ... screen savers.

anyway, i think i'll just pick one of the two above ... or maybe i'll go with the ECS and get a $15 video card ...
