Best Newsgroup Reader/Decoder for free?

anyone have any suggestions on what to DL?

for as experienced as I am with PC's I've never delved into newsgroups, and I'm a little behind in them by using the embedded Outlook reader, which BLOWS. I want to DL some binaries of old radio shows...

I would suggest Free Agent as well. Get it from www.forteinc.com. I think it may be at www.download.com. (and don't be talking about keygens, Toxygen )

I use Binary News Reader(BNR) http://www.binnetwork.net/~bnr/bnr.html

It's freeware, so you don't have to feel like you're stealing from the little guy by using a keygen. It's user interface isn't as friendly as others out there, but I was looking for something that supported yEnc and was free, so bnr does the job.

I use XNews mostly. GrabIt is a good reader if you just wish to download binaries.

I also use BNR. I think it is one of the more powerful ones. It can also handle multiple servers, which is a big plus. It may not be as "pretty", but it works real well.

Another vote for XNews. It's really good if all you want to do is download binaries. I find it's just ok for reading.

Newsbin is the best one I have found. I have tried Xnews, Agent and one or two others, and none have provided the functionality and power of Newsbin. It has never crashed in the two years that I have used it, and there are constant revisions provided at newsbin.com.
