Windows 2000 Service Pack 3

Has anyone had any issues after installing SP3 for Win2k??

I'm just curious and figured I'd ask before I install it myself..

No troubles on the one machine I use for testing so far - but I haven't used it a lot since installing SP3.

Other people haven't been so lucky - I've heard a few reports of problems. Like any major update, I'd make sure you've backed up your important stuff first, just in case....

Ditto twikoff's post, I've done the same here at work and have had no problems yet.

I've put it on a server here at home, a couple low duty servers at work, and my work pc. Haven't had any problems. I'm in the process right now of installing it on our main server, so I'm doing it very carefully: I'm at home watching the start of the niners-giants game doing the install over a VPN link using netmeeting remote desktop sharing. I hope it works.

let me add to my original statement..

Im putting it on new set ups.. I am not going back and upgrading the systems currently on sp1 or sp2

because with a company our size, if it aint broke.. dont try to fix it.

and I havent had the time to go through the bug fix report yet, to compare it with any of our current issues.

can net meeting desktop sharing run as a service?
what are you going to do, when its time to reboot?

It runs as a service once you enable remote desktop sharing. When it comes time for reboot, click reboot, it starts the process of rebooting, it kicks me off (as it has done just now) I'll wait a few minutes, then sign on again when it has finished restarting to check everything out.
