A ? about Cat5 Cable

I'm still trying to figure out what all will go into the process of hooking my PS2 up and going online.

I spoke with the Adelphia CSR ( who was so chatty I think he might of been high )

All of my issues were addressed but I was curious about running high amount of Cat5 cable. I'm going to leave my modem in the bedroom and then unhook the Cat5 that is connected to the PC and run a new piece to the other room where my PS2 is.

Is there an issue with cable running 25 feet or longer? I've heard that if you run a USB cable over 10 feet it starts to slow down. Does anything like this apply to Cat5? I'm gonna need about 25 to 30 feet.

Think it'll work or should I invest in a second modem and rework my plan?

It's standard 100Base-T so your cable limit is 100m. That's over 300ft, so I think you're safe.

Thanks for the help all. I guess nothing can stop me from getting my PS2 online now.

Except for the problem of not being able to find a Network Adapter. Never should of dumped the preorder I had. D'oh!
