Just Did a Clean Install on XP - Can't Find Other Partition?

Hi All,

I just reformatted XP again (i do this almost monthly...) this was the first time with XP that I choose to partition my HD into two sections: one 7gb and one 9gb drive. The 7gb is C: where the system files are located. The 9 gig drive didn't get formatted during installation.

Now, when I go to my computer too view the fixed hard drives, allwhat i see is C:, the primary partition. I don't see the other 9gb partition that was supposed to be there , just not formatted.

I have done this previously with 2k and it usually displayed a fixed drive and when you double click on it , it just said "drive not formatted, format now?" but I don't even see that drive...

... where did it go? I think there was some type of disk utility to manage disks/partitions on XP, but I can't find it... anyone have any tips?

Partition Magic is not an option, I just want to find the other 9gigs.... thanks!

Right-click My Computer and click on "Manage" and to "Disk Management". It should show that partition there. From there you can format it.

Why do you reload XP every month?
