Are there any battery backups that utilize a USB connection instead of serial port?

I know that APC has powechute software to allow for safe shutdown of a PC as well as file saving. It seems as though a serial port is a requirement to connect UPS and computer to one another.

Are there any brands out there that communicate via USB?

I need to buy a new UPS/battery backup for a system that I just built and would like this feature.

Just curious,

Some of the APC brand have USB now, I would guess there are others as well.

Thanks! I'll have to delve into that a bit more now!
