better than sex

You have to give the Japanese credit for making some of the smallest and coolest looking slimbooks and subnotebooks out in the market -- unfortunately, most of these are not available in the U.S. market. This is what we're missing out on:

Japanese Notebook Design

I ran across these while looking for a notebook outside of the standard American-fare (Dell, Gateway, IBM, Compaq, HP, etc.). I am so tempted to get one of these babies shipped to me, but alas, I know nothing about the company. Plus, I can't afford to take the risk.

*sigh* Guess I have to stick with Dell's designs. :P

My vote is for sex with a women instead of a computer.

Those notebooks look cool as hell, very nice.

I went to check out their Contact Us link and discovered they are actually here in Chicago. I may have to contact them for pricing and see if I can pickup my order.

They LOOK cool, but you'll most likely have to hook up things like a cd-rom and what not externally. That to me isn't worth it. I'll take my slightly heavier than most Dell Lattitude c840 that has everything I'll ever need built right in.

yep.. for most of us.. a laptop without anything internal, is pretty much a waste.. and forget trying to type of a mini keyboard

I agree... Although being prision-raped in the butt by a guy named Bubba would technically be considered sex. In that case, I'd take the Sony U1 sub-notebook instead.

To each their own. I used to prefer having the devices built right in, too. But, I never used the devices enough to justify the added weight. I was bringing a Dell Inspiron 4700 to class with me to transcribe class notes and never had a use for the media drives unless I was installing software or listening to music. Of course, with mp3s, that is not an issue anymore. Plus, small keyboards are not a problem when you have small, girly hands like me.

in addition to small hands, i have supple skin around the palm (avoiding manual labor). i'd be a great hand model except i have hairy knuckles and fingers.

I live in Japan and those models sells very good. But those small thingsa re not really good in term of performance.Cannot add more memory, heats up fast and the screen's are way 2 small. The only things they are good for are light weight travelling purposes.I am really happy with my Inspiron 8100.All built in
