"Enter network password" (Windows ME related)

Is there any way I can get rid of the "enter network password" box that comes up every time I start Windows ME?

I hate always having to click "cancel" before my pc will start up.

I'm not part of any network, it's just little old me.

Thanks.

Open control panel, go to network icon, double click. change the drop down box in the middle of the screen where it says 'client for microsoft networks' to 'windows logon'.

If you want to keep the network logon and want to automatically logon, use Tweak UI (download.com, Tucows.com) and set it up easily.

Or.. delete the password? Start>find>*.pwl, look in C:/? But TweakUI is great to have anyway.

I know that with Win 9x, all you had to do was enter a blank password when prompted for the first time. When you delete the pwl file, it will prompt you for a password the next time you reboot. Give it a blank password and you'll go right in without having to enter a pasword next time.
