Best Program to Download MP3s
 

What program would you recomend for downloading MP3s that has the best selection of music?

Newsgroups are the best but you would want to pay for a good newsgroup service. Other than that Kazaa seems to be the best out there right now.

but make sure you get kazaalite if you do get kazaa :)

I recommend WinMX. No adware or spyware. Plus the bitrate is not limited to 128.

Here's another recommendation for kazaalite. You aren't limited to 128 with kazzaalite either.

I just got a new IMAC and I am trying to download either Kazaalite, or Morpheus. So I guess I have two questions.

I went to the Kazaa site and I didn't see anywhere for me to be able to download Kazaa"Lite".....could someone please direct me to the location so that I can download this......it does work for a mac correct?

Also does anyone know what application to use to open up Morpheus's program "Morph20.exe".

If anyone can help me with these things I would greatly appreciate it.

But unfortunately, in the FAQ it says that KaZaA Lite (as well as the "regular" KaZaA) are not available for the mac.

Do a Google search for kazaalite downloads and you'll find a lot of results. WinMX is fine too, get it here http://www.winmx.com

I went to www.download.com and it showed all of the places to download MP3s, and i tried Morpheous, but it went really slow so I uninstalled it.

Download.com doesn't have kazaalite. Seriously, please try my kazaalite link.

Morpheus & Kazaa can be slow because it's a peer to peer but not always...although I haven't used it since I went to newsgroups.

i love grokster. it has just about everything i look for (though most of it is mainstream). that, and the fact that you can d/l 30+ songs at the the same time. i just search, start downloading, walk away, and it's finished less than an hour later.

Ugh. Morpheus is the worst. It's filled with spyware. Kazaalite is like 10 times better and newsgroups are 10 times better than that.

I use Grokster as well. :up:

Grokster is nice, but it has too many popups.

Personally...I use Soulseek. You can get it at www.slsk.org, and it's very easy to use. Plus, it makes grabbing full albums a breeze.
