Start up manager for XP?

I used to have a program that monitored programs that ran automatically when you started your computer (allowing you to get rid of them). But now that I've got XP, it doesn't work anymore. I've got about 12 icons down by my clock that I can't remove with the Add/Delete on Control Panel. Does anyone know of a solution?

Thanks, but the ones I'm trying to get rid of aren't listed there. They really had to work to keep you from getting rid of them, which only makes me hate them more.

start..run.. type regedit

hkey_current_user---software---microsoft---windows---current version--- RUN (also check the other ones that start with run)

same thing with

hkey local machine -- software -- microsoft --windows --current version -- run (and others that start with run)

I can send you a program that I saw on The Screensavers called StartupCPL. It does exactly what you want. It's about 66 kb zipped. It has a readme file that explains its. Check your e-mail.

Thanks, Alvis! It worked perfectly. I tried both twikoff's suggestions, but the programmers obviously wanted no one to delete their precious programs and hid them well.

And no, no relation to RandyC, but even if there were I'd deny it.
