Problem with Background Display Desktop

When I have a Background display on my desktop setting on my laptop.I get some type of funky distortion happening. After I take it off and select none for my display it sometimes goes away and sometime it doesnt. What could be causing this.

What resolution are you running at? How much video memory do you have? How much RAM? All of this could have something to do with the problem.

Is the picture you're using as a background a BMP or a JPG? If it's a BMP, how big is it (in MB)... the larger the file, the more memory it takes to display it, etc...

You could try opening the file in a photo editor and making it smaller and then try using it CENTERED and not TILED. That might help.
