Best software for creating mp3 cds?

I currently use NERO to make my cdr's. I am about to purchase an mp3 player and hear NERO (the software I use now) is not a good choice when making mp3 discs.

I was pointed to this site here: http://www.microft.com.br/

What are you guys using to make your mp3 discs?
I hear with NERO creating the ID3 tags is hard and you have to rename each mp3 in the order you want them >>> 001 - 002 - 003 - etc....

Also, how much text will your mp3 car player display?
How do you label each track >> artist - track title?

Thanks for any info on this!

I use Nero and I have made roughly 1200 MP3 discs without a problem. It even has a nice feature to eliminate the gaps for something like a live show.

Since you are making MP3 CDs you just create a data disc in Nero and burn away.

Otherwise your MP3 player may come with software...give that a try.

There is always Easy CD Creator but I don't like it...it made coasters all the time until I switched to Nero.

I made a cd with 12? tracks on it and went to 4 different shops today with it. The cd came out fine. Text was there even though I will have to change the way some of the mp3s are worded.

One thing I did not like about the disc is everything is in one folder. Do you know how I would go about making seperate folders on the cd? The title of the folder was ROOT. Have any idea how that was used for the title

Thanks for any help you can offer with this software!

Well you can make a folders on your desktop and then copy the songs into each of the folders.

When you go to burn a data CD just pull the folders onto the panel and burn.

So, I just create empty folders, name them to whatever I want the text to say on the mp3 player, add my songs to the desired folders, and rip them as you state above?

Sounds pretty simple, I'll give it a whirl! Thanks!

No, the text wont display the folder name, it will show the MP3 file name or, depending on the player, the ID3 tag. The folders are simply for organizing. You could just put the MP3s on the disc without putting them in folders.

Is the 8017 an older model? The model I am looking into and leaning towards is the 7019. What was the retail price on the 8017?

Thanks!
