So I shorted out my power supply today.... (long rant)

I was moving a fan around and it had a connector with the pins on the outside. I wasn't paying attention and shorted it to the case. Everything shuts down, I realize what I did. Explicative. Explicative.

Power supply doesn't come back on. I end up taking it all apart to check if the fuse is blown. It's not. Explicative. Explicative. Put it back together and it works. Cheers, with me going

Find out CD burner doesn't work. Explicative. Explicative. Reboot 20 times trying different things. Try old cdrom to see if IDE channel is ok. Win2k recognizes new drive. New drive also locks up computer everytime I try and use it. Throw old drive in trash. hehe. It was an old soundblaster 48x (really more like 12x) and I'd been wanting to do that for a while. Put burner back in. It works, with me going

So what's the deal? Every electronic component has to wait 10 minutes before it will work again?

I once plugged a modem in while a computer was on. The blue fire was really pretty!

Seriously, just last week I was installing a hard drive switching master/slave positions back and forth (don't ask) and after about five times of doing that the BIOS all of a sudden said I didn't have any memory installed. So I pulled out the sticks and put them back in (in different order) and everything worked fine. Crazy stuff...

I once hot-swapped a modem and accidently touched it to the video card... It smelled like burning GI joe's.. Ruined my Video card, and my modem.

You learn from your mistakes
