Is there a device for laptop video out?

I am needing some kind of external device that will allow me to have video out with my compaq presario laptop so I can watch my video files on my TV. Is there some type of usb converter I can get? I know of the Dazzle Digital Video Creator, but I don't need video in and I don't want to pay that much for the device. Anyone have any ideas?

There are video "scan converters" or "video encoders" that can take the RGB out from your laptop and convert it to NTSC for a TV. It won't work well (or at all depending on the unit) at any resolutions over 800x600, but it'll put your computer desktop onto a TV screen.

I believe there was a product called Margi that's a MPEG/DVD decoder that has NTSC outs. It's a PC Card and comes with a player that handles MPEG 1 and MPEG 2 and DVD-Video and a dongle that had RCA/S-Video connectors for a TV.
