Matrox is back!!!

At last, Matrox is back not only the business world but also in the gaming world!

The Parhelia-512 just looks awesome! No doubt that is going to be my next video card! I wanted to buy a GeForce4 but I also need the 2D quality and the multidisplay features so I am glad I waited (maybe I'll have to wait for the price to drop a bit but it will be worth it).

comeback kid?

I think the Geforce 4 is better with more features. However it looks like they are getting serious about 3D again.

And it is ON!

It looks like we have a real horse race for best 3-D graphics chipset for PC's again!

Matrox just announced the Parhelia-512; 3DLabs (now part of Creative Labs) announced the P10 just recently; nVidia has said a very revolutionary chipset is coming out in September; and ATI will soon unveil the R300 chipset.

And I thought the race was down to nVidia and ATI now.

I kinda wonder about the drivers though. Anyone remember back to the G200 and OpenGL driver support?

Right now you gotta love nVidia with their almost weekly "leaked" drivers for their cards.
