The new breed of RAR files?

hello all,

been using RAR files for a while now.. i use winRAR 2.71. however, lately i've been coming across groups of RAR's that it won't recognize. for instance, instead of the normal mkdevo.r01 mkdevo.r02, etc, the ones i've been seeing are mkdevopart01.rar, mkdevopart02.rar, etc. is there a program (pref. free) out there that will extract these? i'm also getting a lot of 'unknown method' errors lately when trying to extract from .r01, .r02, etc files.. thanks in advance..

Yeah for some stupid reason the new version of Winrar is not backwards compatible with rar files made with older versions of Winrar.

Now the latest version is in beta so maybe that functionality will be in the final version.
