Back-up Program for XP?

I am new to XP and need a back up program...Win98 had a microsoft back up that you just set what folders to back up and the destination (cd-rw) and click a button...the next time you wanted to back up it remembers what files you did last time and looks for only new or changed files in those folders.

Is there an equivilant in XP or a program that I can add for the same effect?

XP Pro has a backup program, I would imagine XP home does as well.

Start | Programs | Accessories | System Tools

Dr. Dean

Are you running XP Home Edition?

How much are you willing to spend on software?

XP home does not have the same exact NT backup that is in XP pro, but if you want to give it a try, it has a version you can install, follow this

If you really, really want to use the ASR backup routine in XP/Home (it's the NTBackup program that Windows 2000 users have come to know and love), you can install it from the Windows XP/Home CD. To do so, put the XP/Home CD in your CD drive. When the installer asks, "What do you want to do?" click "Perform additional tasks" then "Browse this CD", navigate to VALUEADD\MSFT\NTBACKUP and double-click NTBACKUP.MSI.

If $60 is within reason then buy this

If you want cheaper or possibel freeware, go to

http:\\www.download.com

enter XP backup in the search box and look at how many titles you have to choose from
