Power supply for color case

I bought a translucent color case on impulse today - it was inexpensive, but doesn't have a power supply. I think it needs the kind of PS with its own switch, ie it doesn't have leads that plug on to the end of a switch.

The fellow at the store mentioned that it needed a 250-watt - am I limited to these, or are higher capacity models available?

Thanks, RD

DivxGuy, as long as the translucent case you bought accepts an ATX standard PS, you can put any ATX PS into your case w/ no worries. The only decisions you have to make is:
  • needed watts per your system
  • Price point
  • db's as some PS's are louder than others [this one is optional, depending on your setup]

If you are worried about looks to match the translucent case, the ICute PS is nice, but a bit expensive:

As long as your case is ATX it should work fine

Cool - thanks! It's time to turn my T-Bird into a rip-off of the iMac look.

i believe Enermax makes a nice blue anodized PS that looks pretty cool... Sorry I don't have a link..

You might want to try some translucent cabling and translucent case fans as well....

Thanks for the tips - it appears that colorcases.com carries some of those items.
