Office XP Pro worth it?

Hey guys, the university that I attend is offering a special rate on software for students. One has caught my eye. They offer the full version of Microsoft Office XP Professional for only $219. My own computer has MS Office 97 but I use MS Office 2000 Pro at work. I haven't used Office XP before and was windering if it was worth the upgrade. I would like to install this on my computer since I think I need to upgrade my Office software. The only catch is that it must be activated. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!

doesn't seem worth it to me. what are you planning to do? for most students, office 97 would suffice. also, 219 is kinda steep. i think that this is the regular educational version that you can get at any school. some schools actually subsidize programs, meaning you can get them for much less, but my school doesn't, and it looks like yours doesn't either

No major difference compare to Office 2000. If you were using Office 97, then I say maybe jump if you're willing to spend $219.

Hey thanks all your inputs. I am still unsure if I want to pay that much. I may get the cheaper edition of office XP at $129 but on this version it is standard not Pro and doesn't include Access, but I guess that is ok since I use Word, Excel, and PowerPoint most of the time for work and school.
