setting up outlook as default mail client

setting up outlook as default mail client

how do i set up outlook as my default mail client? right now its netscape (what i used to use) and that gets annoying when i accidently click on an email link in IE or something and it opens netscape

Tools>Internet Options>Programs>E-mail (there should be an option of what program you'd like to use)

thats already set to outlook. so when i go to Tools->Mail and News-> read email, it opens Outlook. but when i click on a mailto: link, it opens netscape

okay, apparently you have to change the URL:Mailto file type settings under options in windows explorer. so now i have outlook opening, but it give an invalid argument error

okay figured it out...you have to set the application to :

" C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\OUTLOOK.EXE" -c IPM.Note /m "%1 "
