IE Browser Question

I have XP and my browser doesnt have the thin status bar at the bottom of the screen. Its the one that tells you where a link is about to take you. And it also shows the progress of a page that is downloading.

I cant figure out how to get it back.
Thx for your help.

XP comes with IE6, which I've never used myself, so I don't know if this option is in the same place, but in IE5.5 you would click View on the menu, then click Status Bar. If it's not there, check the internet options...or you can wait until someone who knows for sure to reply!

{edit} D'oh! Lampei beat me to that one..... {/edit}
