Where are we now downloading music from?

I know this has proably come up before, but here goes...

Where are we downloading tunes from these days? I was using Morpheus for a while but it seems pretty well dead now and was wondering what others were using.

You are discussing downloading. Ergo, it was moved to the Computer forum. I would think a more appropriate location would be the Music forum, but I'm not one to judge that.

Anyway, in answer to your question, right off the band's website. I listen to a lot of indie stuff and most of them want all the publicity and word of mouth they can get.

Lately I've been downloading from Kazaa, using the "lite" version of the software that's free of banner ads and spyware. So far it's been doing a fine job of satisfying all of my pr0n and MP3 needs.

I'm actually paying for music... I'm using EMUSIC.com... they seem to have a lot of music I like. Though there's not much else to download... I downloaded about 18 gigs in four days... I've got about 11 more weeks until I can cancel my subscription... not bad for 45 dollars.

IRC works best for me when getting full albums though...much more efficient, and the quality is almost always good. Not to mention, it's faster (for me, at least)

KaZaa LITE

Don't even think of using the regular release...

Nothing beats the newsgroups. I have downloaded more music there than any Napster/P2P program combined.
