Using Cue Car w/ DVD Profiler

I use the DVD Profiler program to catalog my DVD collection. I want to use my Cue Cat barcode scanner to enter the UPC's into DVD Profiler. I was warned not to install the software, so I didn't. The problem is when I scan a disc into DVD Profiler the wrong number pops up and the disc is not recognized. What can I do? I searched the web and the only info I find is how to disable the serial number in the Cat. Please help! Thanks.

The problem is that DVDProfiler doesn't use the entire barcode that is scanned. It doesn't use the small number at the beginning and at the end. The driver I use (catcrk32) has the ability to alter the code scanned before passing it to the application... I have it set up to delete the leading and trailing digits. This works very well. There are other drivers out there that can do the same thing too.

Where can I find that file?

Is there a website where I can find the Catcrk32 file? Thanks.

I use a program called CueVerter that is made to go in front of DVDProfiler. You can pick it up here.

Thanks for the help!

I've already got my entire collection entered using the program and the Cue Cat! I've got 138 movies, but that not counting individual movies inside the box sets. Thanks again for all the help!

heh, i used it to enter my 500+ dvds! w/out it, it would've been a nightmare. but now, its much easier to add the few w/ the id number.

don't forget to backup your list every once in a while! even w/ a cuecat, i wouldn't want to do it again.

i use CatNip. Scanned my collection in about 2 days. young's right, make sure you upload your collection whenever you update your list - re-entering all of that info even w/ the CueCat is a b****.

How do I back it up?

500 DVD's??? Is your collection viewable online? I'd like to check it out. How do I back up my collection? I don't want to have to do it all over again either. Thanks for the help everyone.
