Just upgraded to Windows XP Pro.......

damn, this thing is sweet! I'm impressed. Stable as hell too!

Glad the bookstore had it in stock, eh?

Just make sure you do a windows update and you get all the security patches for it. There are a few "wide open" holes that were recently closed.

Let me know if you want links to any of the security issues and there related patches. I can get them from one of my techs and post them.

What chyou talkin about willis?
On a related note, I need to go to dell.com and check the status of that 60 gig drive I ordered last week. Is it some sort of sickness that when I get that new drive I will have almost 200 gigs of drive space?

Dammit I so want to install XP instead of Win2k Pro, but there are no drivers for my Internal DSL modem from 3Com for XP. Dammit!

It might still work. I upgraded from 98 to XP and didn't change most of the drivers. I don't have an internal dsl modem, but since XP is based on the NT/2000 kernel I would say there is a good chance it could still work. Worst case XP comes with an uninstall feature.
