Left mouse now has to double click, WTF?

I went into options-mouse and the settings were good. So I reset them, rebooted, and still I have to double click with the left button to open anything. Any ideas?

Oops, I meant it now is giving me trouble in double clicking. It used to be easy, now it takes like 5 or 6 clicks to open something. Probably just this stupid cordless mouse my work wanted. I changed the batteries, cleaned the mouse, reset the settings and this thing still is acting up.

Yeah, seriously this guy is clueless when it comes to pcs. When I leave work, he uses my desktop and checks his email. Funny thing is, he doesn't know how to clear cookies or anything. That damn porn program is still embedded in the OS, had to reboot like 10 times today and the damn thing kept installing. Avoid mycpworld.com at all costs. I know better than to look at porn at work, I just spend my time on Morpheus and Newsgroups
