Hard Drive Partitions

Ok I need some help. My husband got a new laptop and it has 2 local drives. The main drive "c" has 4 gigs and the drive "d" has 6. Of course when I save anything it goes to "c". We want to install some games we got for Christmas but we know they all won't fit on "c". How do I go about saving them to "d"? Do I need to create some folders in "d"? Can I un-partition the drive?
Thanks for any help.

When installing, the game should ask you where you want to install them.

The default should be c:\program files\half life (or something like that)

Change the C: to a D:

D:\program files\half life

You don't need to create any folders, the game will do that for you.

And don't try to Un-partition the drive, it can be done with special software but I would not suggest you doing that.
