How to back up outlook/outlook express emails ?

Is it possible to take a back up the emails in outlook or outlook express? If yes when the back up is restored, does it append to the then image or overwrites it?

Is there any other email client, maybe like Eudora, where such a functionality is very convenient?

TIA.

All of your Outlook data (settings, contacts, calendar, emails, to-do list, etc.) are stored in a .pst file...by default ...\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook (depending on your OS, it could be under the Documents and Settings directory (XP), Windows (ME), etc.). If you want to export your data, you can choose File/Import and Export. When you save your data this way, importing the saved .pst datafile will just overwrite everything, I believe.
