Windows XP & Voodoo3 2000 problem

Just got XP and installed it on my PC. No, it's not from Morpheus/Kazaa/whatever. Anyway, I booted up fine and everything, but I am having a big problem with screen resolution. When I click on Properties/Settings and try to change my screen rez from the present (800x600) to higher (1024x768), the screen goes blank as if to change resolution, but it stays blank then. I haven't upgraded the video driver but Xp has a built in driver for voodoo3 that allows me to use it right now. I want to change to a higher resolution, because right now my screen is very cluttered. Can somebody help?

Did you upgrade or install new? I would install the AGP adapter drivers for the motherboard and then install the latest drivers for your Voodoo. Never use windows drivers for video if you want the best performance.

I normally upgrade my drivers, but there are no xp drivers available for my vdo card. Anyway, I figured out what the problem was. The refresh rate on my monitor was too high, it wouldn't support 1024x768 at that refresh rate. So i turned it down, and it works fine. Thx.
