ATI RADEON 64MB DDRAM 2X/4X AGP VIVO

Anyone have the ATI RADEON 64MB DDRAM 2X/4X AGP VIVO video card? It seems great, but I need to hear from someone who has it or knows someone who has it. Will I be able to output the signal of my DVD drive to my tv? I have some PAL discs that I would like to watch on my tv and not always on my PC. Thanks.

yes, it's a great card and will do what you're asking.

just make sure your resolution is set to 800x600 or lower when you output to TV....also take note that you'll need to run a line out from your sound card as well.

have fun

Great. Thanks. Now just to hear someone say that they have watched a PAL formated movie on their TV with this kind of a set up. Also my TV has a coaxial connection. I see that this card has a composite and S-video so I assume I will have to run the cable to my RF Modulator to use this. Is that correct?

Also I use PowerDVD software for my DVD viewing. Will this work?
I am running Windows ME. Might be getting Windows 2000. If this makes any difference.
Thank you again.

I have a similar card, the All-in-Wonder Radeon with 32 MB DDR. It works well enough as a video card, but the video viewing software is a bit flaky in my experience.

I have the Radeon 64. I use PowerDVD3.0 as my player, even though the card comes with DVD software. I wasn't impressed with the card's player AT ALL!!

yup...you'll have to use the modulator and PowerDVD will not be a problem at all
