Win2k Error Logs?

So, a program shuts down and an error log is created - where do I find this elusive log in Windows 2000?

Now...the real question:

What does this mean?

A duplicate name has been detected on the TCP network. The IP address of the machine that sent the message is in the data. Use nbtstat -n in a command window to see which name is in the Conflict state.

From nbtstat -n:

Code:
Local Area Connection
Node IpAddress: [1.0.0.1] Scope Id: []

                NetBIOS Local Name Table

   Name Type Status
----------------------------------------
BEHEMOTH <00> UNIQUE Registered
CAMINO <00> GROUP Registered
BEHEMOTH <20> UNIQUE Registered
CAMINO <1E> GROUP Registered
BEHEMOTH <03> UNIQUE Registered
BLAKE KUNISCH <03> UNIQUE Registered
CAMINO <1D> UNIQUE Conflict
..__MSBROWSE__. <01> GROUP Registered

Have you been changing machine names? It's looking unhappy with Camino. You don't have a machine named the same as a domain or workgroup, do you?

several computers on a home network?

you do have them all named different names.. correct?

computer names have to be registered on the network, and you cant use duplicate names

(its late, and Im tired.. so I may be missing exactly what the problem is)

This error shows up often in win2k, if the machine can be shared to others and can share from others, then ignore this error, it is of little concern.

If your sharing is screwed, then there are few things to check.

The odd thing about this whole thing, is that it's kinda on a network. I have one computer acting as a server with two NICs in it - one with the cable modem in and one out to the hub. I then have two other computers hooked up to the hub. I have been unable to connect them into a home network (don't try and help, I've got a router sitting here I need to try and set up soon). I thought all the computers were named differently, but since I'm unable to connect to a home network of any sorts, I don't know what the problem is. Ah well, everything is good now.

Thanks for your help guys.
