Where do I mount the probe to check my PC temperature?

I am building my dream PC system, and because of overclocking, I need to keep a close watch on my PCs temperature changes. Can anyone suggest a good place for the probe to be mounted. BTW I have a 478 Socket Pentium 4, if anyone has some special procedures. Thanks for any suggestions!

I'm wondering what probe you're using? You wan't it as close to the processor as possible if you can have it directly next to the processor and under the heatsink not touching either then great.
