Domain Name Registration

Any recommendations on places to register a domain name? The cheapest so far I've found was $13.95 for a year, any others that are cheaper?

Any input is appreciated.

Is this for your small home server? You could always try a free service like www.dns2go.com I use it for my ftp server and homeseer server.

$8.95/yr. if you sign up for more than one year, you get a discount: like $8.75/yr. for two years ... or $6.95/yr. for 10 years.

If you also need web hosting and you plan on doing a lot (need a lot of space plus a lot of bandwidth):
http://www.phpwebhosting.com for web hosting.
$9.95/mo. for A LOT - all you'll ever need.

How do I go about hosting a webpage on my home PC?
I have DSL with a static IP. I am running 98 right now, but won't be soon as I am upgrading to XP, so if I register a domain name I just get it to resolve to my ip, and then load up IIS or Apache or something like that?
