Another Mac question ?

Here is my problem. I can not decide between a new Ibook with CDRW and the Titanium Power Book 400. The price between the two is 700 dollars do you guys think the Power Book is worth the extra bucks ? I use my computer for Web and Mp3's mostly. No heavy photo shop or what have you.

When I was researching them I didn't see anything worth the extra money so I went with the Ibook with cdrw/dvd combo. Also the Ibook is smaller which is more convenient.

Did you upgrade the ram or do anything to it ? Have you been happy with it so far ?

Since you're not doing anything that would benefit from the Velocity Engine (Photoshop, etc), I'd get the iBook. Cheaper and faster than the 400Mhz TiBook.

That is cool. My wife is a teacher so I can get a discount from apple on whatever I buy. Now I need to decide if I should get the combo or dvd only drive and buy a seperate burner. Hmmmmm

I upgraded the ram to 256, I also have the airport installed. I am more then satisfied stable, and long battery life exactly what you want from a pc. Also what I like about the combo driveis that I keep a good amount of mp3's on my system and if someone wanted them I can quick do a burn for em. Also I was at the Apple store in Mall of America and all I can say is I can't wait to get a digital camcorder to do some on site editing because through the Firewire port it works very slick.

That is cool. I went to go buy the airport for the wifes Ibook but after I paid for the card and the port I found out I needed 9 instead of 8.6. If I do get a new Ibook I will get both for sure.
