Help Windows Me not finding adapters or controllers

I just installed Windows Me onto my computer and now it does not recognize my Secondary IDE Controller or my 2 Parallel SCSI Adapters. This has rendered my CDROM and CDR-ROM drives useless and unavailable as well as my scanner and printer.

What can I do? ME can't find any drivers (maybe I'm doing that wrong). Should I reinstall ME? Find drivers for these Adapters? This seems like an easy problem/situation but for the life of me I am utterly confused as to what to do.

Thanks in advance.

1) Did you do a clean install

2) Did your drivers come on a separate disk?

Is the secondary IDE channel turned on in the BIOS? There's an option for using none, one, or both so check it out. Also, the manufacturer of your computer, or the motherboard, may have a driver for your IDE channels specific to ME. Check with them.

What are parallel SCSI adapters? Ones that go on parallel ports?

I'm sorry...

Some other good information maybe....
when was your motherboard made??? do you have it's drivers/inf files???

could be similar to me and my p4 board and win2k i have to install my mbd drivers for things to work right because it was released after the os was...hence the OS doesn't have the drivers...this is also similar to win95 needing PIIX drivers 3 & 4, and ME needing mbd drivers for the intel (fedora) board.

what type of system do you have??

No..Should I have? Can I still?

Excuse my computer ignorance, but if you mean are they seen during the bootup, then yes. When I check my device manager, there are exclamation points on the three adapters/controllers. It then says that the device either doesn't exist, doesn't work properly or doesn't have the right drivers. When I check for updated drivers on the ME disk it can't find them.

It's a Pentium II 300Mhz (I know, I know it's old), 192MB RAM Dell Dimension. It originally came bundled with Win 95 as 98 was a few months away from release. Dell sent me an upgrade.

I'm sorry...
Me too.

You need to check with Dell for new Me drivers for that particular motherboard.
