HELP: IE 6 and Quicktime 5

HELP: IE 6 and Quicktime 5

Is anyone having trouble viewing quicktime files when using IE 6? I have IE 6 installed with Quicktime 5.02 and all i get when the plugin is suppose to play the movie is the symbol one would get when an image is loading. I reinstalled quicktime but that didnt do it, any suggestions? anyone else have this problem?

There are a lot of problems with IE 6. Many organizations will not allow it to be installed. I don't know what the answer is, you might check with Apple and/or Microsoft for known issues. However you may be in uncharted waters.

I did find this (and other references) saying they're not compatible:

I have the same problem, but with Win XP RC1.

Not only can I not get QuickTime movies to play in the IE 6 browser, I can't even get IE 5.5 to install and replace the IE 6 that came with Win XP.

as both the guys above has said.. this is a known issues that has been addressed to microsoft.. expect a patch to be coming

for now.. you have to live with rightclicking the link and doing a save target as.. then playing th file off your local drive

HN, thats an awesome case mod! If that isnt custom, I dont know what is...

or even right clicking and choosing open in a new window.
