I have the above mentioned board and would like to upgrade my aging Celeron 300A. The only info i could find states that it officially supports P2-450. But i think it would support higher PIIs as well as PIII's.
Does anyone have any info or experience that could be usefull.

Well, a lot of celeron 300a's could easily overclock to 450 (66->100 bus speed), but you would need to be able to increase the cpu core voltage.

Check out www.overclockers.com and look under the cpu section for the celeron 300 review.

You should email tech support of FIC to try and find out what your motherboard can handle. Diffrent revisions of the same board can have very diffrent specs as to what cpu it can run.

The problem is that this mobo does not allow voltage tweaking (withought covering certain pins). when i just got the mobo i ran it at 450 but my system started freezing up. i am sure the cpu will run 450 but the mobo will not.
any other ideas?
