Help with Radeon Input

I have a 64Mb DDR Radeon with vivo, and how do you connect the sound to the computer? Through the sound card? I have hooked it up through the microphone jack, but the sound is awful. I have a MX300 with the vortex 2 chip. I am wondering if there is an alternate way to have sound. Thanks.

I have the Radeon 64, and I run my audio through my Soundblaster Gamer/5.1 sound card. I can't really compare because this is how I originally hooked it up, and I'm happy with it.

The signal level for line-in and mic-in are different which is probably why you're crappy sound. If your sound card has a seperate input for line-in, try that.
